The Chamber Orchestra has existed for over four decades. In the beginning, it was composed of musicians with limited musical education, enthusiasts who had entirely different professions but still nurtured their love for music and managed to form the orchestra. Slowly evolving over the years, today it’s a well-recognized brand throughout the Balkans.
The idea of revitalizing, popularizing, and bringing the orchestra closer to a broader audience was born in 2013. It was realized through the efforts of conductor Vladimir Dimovski and violist and professor at the Bitola School of Music, Nikola Trajanovski.
The first concert of the orchestra with a popular character was titled “For My Bitola,” featuring the most beautiful old city songs, with several Macedonian artists as guests. Immediately after this concert, the first Rock Symphony followed, which enthralled the audience.
Our desire to continue the tradition of the Chamber Orchestra, supported by the Macedonian people’s interest in quality music, resulted in the continuation of the founders’ dream. Thus, it has been actively performing for a decade, with numerous concerts and performances in Macedonia and the Balkans.
